My Role as Parliamentary Private Secretary (PPS)
Parliamentary Private Secretary to the Ministers of the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office
I am honoured to have been appointed as a Parliamentary Private Secretary (PPS) to the Ministers of the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office.
As a PPS, I act as the eyes and ears of the Ministers within Parliament — building communication between the department and MPs, and helping ensure the smooth delivery of government priorities.
The first job of any government is to keep us safe and prosperous in a complex world that can be volatile. To protect our interests here at home, we must work with our international allies and partners to strengthen our defence, security and economic development.
I look forward to supporting the UK Government to tackle global issues like climate change, energy supplies, and trade that have a real impact here in South East Cornwall.
